I transitioned into Massage Therapy from a technical background about four years ago, completing my training at ACMT in Fort McMurray. Since then, I’ve been practicing as a Registered Massage Therapist for over two years.

I contributed articles about massage and stretch therapies to YEG Fitness magazine, and I have been fortunate to be the recipient of the YEG Fitness Readers’ Choice award for Best Massage Therapist for 2016 & 2017. As an RMT with Accel, they awarded me with best RMT for 2022 & 2024. I have a background in powerlifting, having trained and competed for many years and worked up to a national ranking.

I graduated in 2007 with a Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy from Egypt Misr University. In 2012, at Cairo University, I did my post graduate Physiotherapy studies in Surgery and Burn/Wound care. I worked as a Physiotherapist in Egypt and Saudi Arabia for 14 years. Recently, I moved to Canada and am looking forward to continuing my career here. I graduated from Saint Francis Xavier University with a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics Degree in 2009 and then went on to complete my Masters of Science in Physiotherapy Degree from Dalhousie University in 2011. I moved to Fort McMurray in October 2011 and have called this amazing city home ever since.
I have worked in physical therapy private practice since 2011 and have a strong passion for getting results. I am currently trained in Functional Dry Needling, Level 1 Sport Taping, Basic & Advanced Kinesio-Taping (KT1 & KT2) and Mechanical Diagnosis & Treatment (McKenzie levels A – D). I am certified in Vestibular Assessment and Management along with Advanced Vestibular Rehabilitation. I completed my training at the American Institute of Balance in Largo, Florida in 2019. I have also successfully completed “Rehab 570 – Diagnostic Imaging in Physical Therapy Practice” through the University of Alberta. This training has allowed me to directly order diagnostic imaging (x-ray, MSK ultrasound & MRI) when appropriate.

I have various experience in my physiotherapy career with a wide range of clientele in various
clinical settings. I also had the opportunity to provide physiotherapy services in remote Northern Canada in the Northwest Territories prior to making Fort McMurray my home in 2019.
